link-1024x576If it isn’t the best Web resource, it’s certainly in the top 10.   It’s called Growth.Supply and its a treasure trove of great, free information for anyone whose business or personal life revolves around the Internet. Entrepreneur Ali Mese has created a Web page entitled, 400 Awesome Free Tools to Build Your Business. Previously, an MBA consultant for Bain and Company launched his own business and wrote all about it.

The reference page is a catalog of some of Mese’s favorite Web resources or, as Mese puts it, a “curated” collection of resources from other publications. It’s well organized into categories such as “Business & Marketing,” “Design & Code,” “Work & Productivity,” and “Discover & Learn. Subcategories under “Business & Marketing” include “Free Website & Logo & Hosting & Invoicing,” “Free Business/Project Name Generators,” “Writing/Blogging” tips, “Free SEO & Website Analyzers,” and so on.

Each resource’s entry includes a link and brief description. Here are a few that stand out:

Templated: A collection of 845 free CSS & HTML5 site templates.
Hubspot: A blog topic generator
Withoomph: Low-cost logos designed instantly.
Invoice to me: Free Invoice Generator.
Naminum: A tool that helps you design a perfect company name.
Word Press – One of the better website builders on the Net, but not the only one.
Hemingway: An online and mobile editor .
Liberio: Simple eBook creation and publishing right from Google Drive.
ImageOptimizer: Resizes and compresses your image files.  He also recommends Social Image Resizer Tool
Kiss: Offers free legal docs for start-ups
Mailchimp: We’ve used this useful tool for years:  You can send 12,000 emails to 2,000 subscribers for free.
Medium: is a community of writers and readers “with millions of ideas and stories from around the world.”

As astutely observed by blogger Bob Rankin, Mese created and maintains this list of carefully selected resources to attract search engine and referral traffic to it, and thereby promotes himself and his services to prospective clients. Not a bad idea……especially given that we offer a similar curated list of links.   Our list is an excellent consumer resource.  But if you are looking for useful Web tools, Mese has us beat……for now!
